Policy Engagement for Researchers – how to engage with Government, in contrast to Parliament

This is a recording of an online training session, delivered on 19th May 2021 by UK Parliament’s Knowledge Exchange Unit. Parliament and Government are separate institutions, with different ways for researchers to engage with each. This session explores how research evidence and expertise is used by various parts of Government, and how to engage as an academic researcher. The session focuses on practical information and advice. The chair is Naomi Saint, Knowledge Exchange Manager, UK Parliament. The expert speakers from Government are Giulia Cuccato and Catherine Leech (Government Office for Science), Olivia O’Sullivan (Open Innovation Team) and Amy Summerfield (Ministry of Justice).
