Evidence session – Safety of maternity services in England – 15 December 2020

As part of its inquiry into maternity safety, the Health and Social Care Select Committee will question petition creators and experts after the 2019 MBRRACE-UK report found that Black women in the UK are five times more likely to die during pregnancy and after childbirth. They will then question Donna Ockenden on the findings of the independent review into maternity services at the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals, which she Chairs, followed by experts on the range of factors influencing maternity safety.
